Bamboo was part of Luo’s childhood. Our journey through bamboo regions begins with that connection.

Luo comes from Shunchang, Nanping, Fujian. Bamboo accompanied his childhood and remains connected to his love of home and its local produce. For BambooAge, Shunchang is a place to begin with everyday experience.

Fujian’s forestry authority lists Shunchang among its 2025–2027 priority counties for bamboo processing and modern bamboo development. This provides a documented entry point to local industry directions, rather than an output or quality ranking.

Next, we hope to explore bamboo forests, workshops, processing and everyday life through specific objects, processes and storytellers, sharing documented local experiences with people further away.
